Quick take
Screw-fit wooden barrier with no floor bar—great for the top of the stairs or anywhere you want a seamless transition between rooms.
Why it works upstairs
- No threshold = zero trip hazard on the landing.
- Telescopic wooden frame adjusts smoothly from 63.5 up to 100 cm (max fix-to-fix 106 cm thanks to angled brackets).
- Swings both ways and the hinge plates rotate, so you can mount it inside, outside or even on the face of a balustrade.
- One-hand opening with an adult-strength squeeze-and-lift catch.
- Solid wood slats with a clear lacquer; hardware packs include white and black covers so you can match your skirting.
Dimensions & spec
- Width (fixing centres): 63.5–106 cm.
- Opening height: 73 cm; bar gap: 6 cm.
- Installation: screw-fit (wall plugs and wood screws supplied).
- Certification: EN 1930:2011.
- Suitable locations: landings, attic stairs, open tread staircases, doorways with odd angles.
Install tips
- Use the paper drilling template to keep the hinge plates perfectly level; shim behind the plates if walls are uneven.
- Always mount to solid timber, brick or plugged plasterboard (12.5 mm + solid noggins).
- The latch block can mount on either side—flip it if you need the gate to pull downhill.
